From the PPS Library team: Here is the fifth edition of our interview series held on the PPS WhatsApp group on 6th July, 2020. The theme for this edition is “The Poet and His Audience.” In this edition, Godson Bright Peter, a member of PPS, interviews Adekunbi Lardo, who is popularly known as LARDO to share more insights on the theme for the edition.
LARDO is a poet, writer, and a phenomenal spoken word artist. She is a poet/student with EB Arts and a volunteer/programs coordinator at Custodians of African Literature(COAL). She has received several awards: winner of Jos Poetry Slam(JPS) 2018, 1st runner up Abuja Literary Grand Slam 2019 and 2nd runner up UNWRAP2019(poetry category).
She appeared at the Lagos International Poetry Festival(LIPFest2018) and as a participant & volunteer in 2019. Her poem was published in the January2020 issue of Writer’s Space Africa(WSA) magazine.
She enjoys a good book, learning, being around artists, and travelling for fun or art.
